.::vichyssoise soup::.

ma saturday supper, vichyssoise soup...the other easy name to understand is Creamy Potatoes Soup...it tasty and quite feelin...u can find the recipe on the net but it kinda complicated wen u see the recipe and the way they describe how to make it...hahahah
I haf attached one of the recipe here mayb not very complicated as i mention lolz.

A make ahead, favorite smooth and creamy soup, can be served hot or cold


Ingredients:

2/3 cup leeks, thinly sliced, white portion only
1 small onion, sliced
2 tablespoons butter
2 1/2 cups potatoes, peeled and sliced
2 cups chicken broth
Kosher salt to taste
1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup heavy whipping cream
Snipped fresh chives for garnish

Directions:

In a medium saucepan cook leeks and onion in butter until vegetables are tender but not brown. Stir in sliced potatoes, chicken broth and salt. Increase heat and bring just to a boil; reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 35 to 40 minutes or until potatoes are very tender. Remove from heat.

In a food processor, puree half the mixture until smooth. Pour into a large saucepan. Repeat with remaining mixture. (The soup can be refrigerated at this point and completed the next day).

When ready to serve, add milk and cream to the soup mixture. If serving hot, heat gently over medium heat stirring constantly. Ladle into individual serving bowls, garnish with fresh snipped chives and serve.

Makes 6 to 8 servings.


It is the recipe that can be found on the Internet anytime, anywhere....ummm coz it is Internet lolz. Aite I found other recipe...sory not I found, but I saw :D which is more easier and faster ;o). Here we go:

Ingredients:

2-3 potatoes, peeled and sliced

1-2 cup of milk
1tspn salt (or more if preferable)
ground black pepper to taste
1 small onion (if preferable), chhoped

Directions:

Steam or boil (as we naturally call lolz) the washed potatoes and chhoped onion till all are soft. Puree in a blender to blend* (if got) otherwise juz stir till all smooth... pour back to the saucepan wif the medium heater, keep stirrin the mixed potatoe, add salt and slowly add milk.

That's it~! now u can haf a cup of vichyssoise soup which is take u less time to find the ingredients and make it...muahahaha Btw, the soup is prefer to serve HOT....(trust me) lolzz oooo wait...makes 2-4 servings :p
